76 FI issues
when its started in the morning it will not hold its own. i have to keep my foot on the gas till it warms up. and if i dont let it warm up i jumps and studders. whats wrong?

I had a simlar problem. Check all your vacum hoses, particularly the one that goes to the pressure regulator. I reattached that and it fixed about 90% of the problem. Then I just set the idle a little bit higher and that fixed the rest.

My experience with FI is on a T4 engine but I think the FI is relatively the same.
Follow the fuel line and rail from the fuel pump past all the injectors and then back to the tank. Before it leaves the engine compartment there should be a pressure regulator that has a vacum hose attached. My vacum line connector had dry rotted and I had to replace it.

Could be your cold start valve or check the connections to the afm. Vaccum hoses could be a culprit but if it clears up when warm I would check the others.
