Help with my frontseat bracket Empty Help with my frontseat bracket

Post by 56HAVOC Tue Apr 13, 2010 8:31 pm

Ok I'm having a problem trying to get the Drivers seat to go about2-3inches. It's back as far as the bracket will let it,but how do I get the bracket or seat to go back more? Or does anyone know of someone that can help me out.

You can always do like what i have in the beetle. I have Mazda Miata seats and the seat tracks are welded above and on the sides of the original seat tracks. I traded head room for leg room and I have a set of multi adjustable seats including lumbar support and adjustment.

Sounds like you need to loose some height!

No, you may have to remove the seat bracket and reposition it the distance back that you need.

Have Billie move the seat tracks back for you. The seat tracks are spot welded to the pan so he will have to break the spot welds then move them back and reweld them. That is the best way to do it.

I have the same problem. Lindy Herrell suggested sawing the stop off the back of the track.
