Do you need any parts for your dubs?

Re: Duetsche Kafer Klub
Hi Splitties, I don't know of any parts needed for my bus project but I will ask around some of the other DKKs to see. What do you have? You are welcome to come by my house/shop and see the latest bus project on your visit to Savannah. I'm hoping to have it completed before this year's Bulli Brigade and Bug Jam. It is a full custom. Thanks for the message.

Re: Duetsche Kafer Klub
Yea... I've been scanning the site. Lots of nice VW news. Bus is coming along. We believe we have the tires/rims worked out. I ordered the tires tonight (same as the Goblin) Watson's kit arrives Thursday. Picking up all the powdercoating pieces tomorrow. Mastercylinder and all brake lines installed except the soft lines. Meeting with the Tom on the interior Wednesday and will find out if I will need to contact Chris to help with some enclosures. Gene Berg shifter installed and tranni ready to go. Engine is also installed. Breather and coil mount is figured out. A/C routing decided too. It's coming along

Re: Duetsche Kafer Klub
Well. Some good, some bad. I've finished pulling all wires through the bus and cleaned them all up. Have some issues fitting the Rossi Headlights not wanting to seat on the body properly. Other issue with the taillight mounting screws too short. Hopefully both issues are minor fixes? Also, think I put some brake lines through some frame holes that were meant for the ebrake cable and clutch cable. I'll have to breach the lines that have already been pressurized. Again, not hard to do just messy. CIP1 is dragging ass on refunding my money for the wrong rims. I can't buy the correct rims until I see the refund in my PayPal. Then it will be 7-10 days for shipping after I order!!
I have someone here in Savannah setup to build my header/exhaust. Called Tiger Friday to order the down stubs and flanges but he didn't return the call. I need to figure out a muffler. Any ideas on something that will fit probably 2.25 diameter and is quiet?
We are going out to the upholster on Friday to pick some products. Then I think he is coming over here to help me do the window sections so I can put all the glass in. Can't say how much more to do but I'm putting the hours into it.

Re: Duetsche Kafer Klub
Drew, Unfortunately my bus is still at the upholstery shop in Pooler, GA. He is not open on Sunday. I'm suppose to pick her up sometime in the next two weeks. I'm headed over there Tuesday to help with some of my wiring. Let me know the next time you are in town.

Re: Duetsche Kafer Klub
I'm planning on getting over there when Tom is available. I know he is not in the shop on Tuesday. Being XMass I don't know what his work deal will be. I'm ready to wire up Sweet Pea but Phil has all the components. He wants to help. I know you need to make some room. It would be cool if we could get the bus back over here and sweet pea to Tom's

Re: Duetsche Kafer Klub
Wiring the dual batteries can be exhausting? I was actually wiring up the dual batteries with an isolator. Also wiring the subwoofer and 6 speaker AMP. Jeff helped me finish the last of the AC hoses on the evaporator and compressor. Not quite finished with the wiring. Ran out of the 4 gauge size loop connectors. 7 more needed...
Happy Birthday Scott. Loved the cake. You should post a picture of it on the site.
