Re: Cruise The Coop 5 "All Vw Show"
This is a great show and I plan to be there all weekend. See you there!
Re: Cruise The Coop 5 "All Vw Show"
I have got to start making it out to some of these shows. This one seems do-able...provided I can figure out/fix an oil leak from my main seal by then.

We can probably make that happen....
Re: Cruise The Coop 5 "All Vw Show"
Finally got my oil leak taken care of (who would have thought there was an O-ring on the back of the flywheel ) Still have some carb issues to work through, but I think (80% positive ) I'm going to make this one.
Re: Cruise The Coop 5 "All Vw Show"
signed up ready to ride..... Maybe pop top seals came in. I hope to get my wood floors installed. Great show ready to go...

That Air-condition fan shroud must make it a pain to get that carb on and off.

Re: Cruise The Coop 5 "All Vw Show"
It is not bad. Once you pull the hose off there is very little difference, however, I believe the way it causes the hose to bend makes it slightly easier to get to the setting screws on the carb

I drove the THING down to the show. It was a great afternoon, weather perfect. The drive was an hour from Woodstock and kinda fun. Except for some minor plug fouling on the way back, the 73 ran great both ways. Great dubs all around the park there.

Re: Cruise The Coop 5 "All Vw Show"
We had a great time. This is an excellent show at a great location. The turnout was impressive too.
If I had to give one critique, it seems only "shiny" cars win awards. If there aren't, there should be classes for survivor, original and/or patina vehicles, or something along those lines. For example, one bus that won had a quickie shiny paint job over large dents and other issues while several complete original survivors that were there didn't get get any representation in the winners circle (at least as far as I could tell).
Overall though, this is still my favorite show, just something I noticed. Friendly people, a nice atmosphere, and lots of great vws. I'll be attending as long as they have it.
