August 8th Get Together 9am til ? Brian's House Senoia (free food!)

So as most of you have seen I have recently sold Heidi and taken on a new project.  He is pretty bare bones and not to great on the eyes right now.  Was kicking around the idea of having a get together at my house in the coming weeks and would love for any and all to come.  What I really need more than anything else is some experienced VW peeps to come and help me assess what I have and what its going to take to get Grizwald on the road (in the least amount of time and money).  Could also use some help stripping paint to make it not look so hideous!  I plan on doing another overnight Boston Butt with all the fixings for everyone to eat like last time we did this.  I am pretty much open to whatever weekend works for the masses.  Just let me know what y'all think.

BTW, Bob, I still have your screwdriver so if you can make it, I'll be sure to have it cleaned and ready for you!

Boss lady said no problem. So come one come all! Just let me know what time is best and a decent head count so I can plan on how much food to cook.

I would say earlier would be better but at this time of year it is hot all day so pick your poison!

I wouldn't mind doing early morning and having the boston butt ready to eat for lunch. Whatever is easiest for everyone else.

i would love to go and help But Honestly I do not think I would be any help because I do not know anything about VWs..All I know is how to do a oil change, and a tune up LOL.

It's one of those steel wool and graffiti remover deals. Trying to get to the OG paint underneath all the rattle can and house paint. LOL

I'm beginning to think the general consensus is a morning meeting with lunch served. If that's cool with everyone that's what I'll plan on doing cooking wise.
I should have everything needed to help with the paint stripping. Gloves, sponges, etc... I appreciate all the help more than I can express! Plus being new to the bus world it will really help having a couple of experienced eyes to help make my MILE long punch list to get this thing rolling. And I know Joel will need some eyes on his too!! Looking forward to it and if anyone has any questions feel free to ask. Shoot me a PM and I'll respond with my address.

Early bug gets the scraper

I'll plan on having lunch ready around 12:00-12:30 so I figure a couple hours before would be good. Let's say anywhere between 9:00-10:00.

Ok kids... Need to get rough estimate of how many people for this weekend so I know how much food I need to cook and how many bags of steel wool I need to buy. What a combination. Family friendly for sure. The triplets will be running around helping as well.
