Halloween Campout October 30th - November 1st FDR State Park

Just wanted to get this out here early so you can make your plans to be with us!  Everyone is invited!

The Airheads are planning on doing another Halloween camp-out this year.  Last year was a bust due to cold/wet weather in north Georgia.  So we are moving it back south to what I thought was a perfect place to camp as a group.  I will reserve a Pioneer site at FDR State Park in Pine Mountain for Friday and Saturday nights.  The site will hold up to 25 people and if we have more, I am sure I can bump us to the 40 person site! As always plan on bringing some pumpkins to carve and some candles so we can light up the campsite!  I am sure someone will bring some cornhole boards and I can bring bocce ball and the horseshoes!  Cost for the site for the entire weekend is $110 so split up wont be much per person. There is a $5 vehicle charge for parking in the state park.

Also in planning is a small cruise/poker run for Saturday.  So if you can't make the camping come on out for the cruise!  More details to come.....

Awesome. We had to leave early two years ago at the FDR campout, but should be able to make it the whole weekend this year.

I can't remember, was there water at this site?

Yes there is water just no electricity. The water spigot is at the top of the site where you guys camped.

Less than two weeks away!

Next weekend! I have my pumpkin ready for carving Friday night!

Check in is after 1 so I will be leaving here and heading down around lunch to get checked in.   Just a reminder if you are planning on camping stop by the front office to pay for your $5 parking pass.  You can also ask them for directions to our site, Pioneer Site #2.
