Shared Calendar for Events
I'm trying something new here and publishing a shared calendar with all of the Southeast VW events listed in it.
I've embedded it in our site here: http://www.volksfolks.org/events/calendar.php
If you use Google calendar, you can easily subscribe by clicking the arrow next to "Other calendars" and choosing Add by URL. Copy and paste in the following URL:
https://www.google.com/calendar/ical/russ%40volksfolks.org/public/basic.ics
Now you can view the calendar and it will be automatically updated with events taken from our forums. I believe you can also add this calendar in Outlook or any other application that supports ICS files.
I have been keeping a personal calendar of VW events for a while now and it is helpful to look at when planning trips and stuff. Just thought I would see if anyone else might find it useful too.
Also be sure and visit http://www.volksfolks.org/events/ for an at-a-glance view of upcoming events. The links to the right of each event will let you individually add any of them to Google Calendar or export to an ICS file.
New events will be added automatically as I get info on them.
