Camping at y u

Didn't some of yall camp last year over there????

I have every time I've been. Except last year when Shaky had camping at his place.

Is anyone camping this year?

I'm not sure if I will or not this year.

There's an RV campground off I-75 that may be a little more reasonable than the track. I'll check into it and report back.

We have had a group camp every year at the raceway. Last year we were the only ones camping Friday night....we're doing it again this year, it's a nice spot with good room for the tents and our cars. We had fun even if no one else was there. Hopefully there will be more this year

Any idea how much they are charging? The price last year was a bit steep.

No, I haven't called them yet, probably the same as last year, 20-25 bucks or so....we always get one spot and setup a couple of tents...the night security guy is a nice guy, he comes out to check on ya once or so to see if you need anything, but he's never asked how many spots we have paid for, just asks to see if we have at least one camping pass thing.

Just talked to the speedway and they said there was no agreement this year to allow tent camping, and they don't do tents unless its a race weekend because they don't want to open bathrooms. I explained we camped the last several years without bathrooms open, but was told there were no arrangements for that this year. That kind of stinks.

Ok, maybe she wasn't talking about the show in particular, just no tent camping unless its an agreement with a race.....i think she was confused lol. I called again and they said this year there's no tent camping unless restrooms are open and restrooms aren't open except for specific events that they do make arrangements with.

so sadly, no tent camping. We're gonna bring a camper and get a hookup spot instead.

No, it wasn't. But we don't have enough room in the back of the van to camp again this year.

Yea and Walmart has a great return policy.

And bathrooms and running water and food. We should all camp there!

Took me forever to get the time to investigate that campground. It's pretty decent if you have and RV and like being close to your neighbor. They have a couple little cabins as well. Their site says they have tent sites but I didn't see any while I was there. At anty rate, here's the website. It's about 10 miles from the speedway.

We may look at that for next year. This year we have an RV/Camper site at the speedway itself. We still have some room if anyone with a van wants to camp with us. We don't mind at all.
