Dude new guy! My 62.

So whats up? My name is Josh and this is my first bug. I got her about a month ago. These pics are of the day I picked her up. Bought her from Tim's Vw Repair. I started working right away. So far I have most of the paint and primer gone. Want that true rust to shine thru! Next on the list is to teach her how to sit, tires and paint the wheels. Tell me what you think!

Ok so long storie short my apartment said if I did not paint the car I would have to move it. So let the painting begin. Its a flat tank brown with flat black trim. Tell me what you think! And yes lowering her is next on the list.

usually im all for the lowering is first priority, but man you need to get those heater channels fixed, paint it so you can keep it and save up for some channels, you may look cool scrappin the ground, but no one looks cool 6 feet under, in a box. my 2 cents

dont worry about the heat worry about that thing falling apart

yea the heater channels are not really all for heat, thats just the name for them since the heat travels through them, the heather channels hold the front and back half together and keeps it from collapsing, its the base of the exoskeleton frame design for the bug. any experienced vw guy/gal will tell you the heater channel MUST be solid, dude do yourself a favor and keep it safe, yea its expensive, but its pocket change compared to someone's life...

Well, this beauty is now a part of the BKR household. Drew traded the Jetta for her last night. It was quite a chore loading and unloading on and off the trailer.

Well, Drew got run off the road yesterday. Messed Blanche up pretty bad. She is gonna have to go under the knife now. Pics coming soon
