Once again, met some nice GA Dubbers

I've owned my Westy for 2 years now and haven't made it to hardly any events where I can meet locals. (I'm blaming the kids and their activities.) But, each time I do I meet some great folks.

Today my son and I went to the Bugs4Christ open house. We had a great time. I had been wanting to see what this was about since I heard about them. We live in Atlanta so it was a great cruise down there. Met some really nice folks of course. We will definitely make it back down there the next time they have a wrench session or something on the weekend.

Several months ago I rode out and hung out with the Athens group one Sunday. Same thing, nice folks and a great time.

I guess since the Atlanta folks are not going to get together any more I'll just have to ride out to these other clubs.    That's okay, good excuse for some cruising. I wish I could have made the Toy Cruze today but we had to get back for another open house thing.

I put this in the "General" section hoping that future new folks find it as they try to get plugged in to local VW scenes.

It was great to meet y'all. You have a beautiful westy. You're welcome any time. We'll let you know when we're doing our next Saturday, maybe you can come hang out longer.

No, but I need to do one. I still consider myself new to this but have done a lot of work to mine already. So I'd like to post with some lessons learned to help and encourage folks who are either thinking about taking the plunge or just did and not sure what to do.
