Bugs4Christ Open House, Saturday December 7th 10AM until...

We would like to invite as many of you guys as possible to come out to our shop on Saturday, December 7th for an open house/work day/swap meet/whatever you want to make it day!

In all seriousness, we have the 66 Beetle we are working on, we have several other projects for some of our teenagers that came to help out at the Cruise In, etc.....we'd love for y'all to cruise down, hang out with us for the day and maybe wrench a little, go through some of our parts that we have if there's anything y'all need, we may have it.  It would be a great location for some of y'all to swap parts that live in south Georgia with those that live in North Georgia, etc.  Come tour the shop, see all of our projects and if nothing else, just come hang out.  The shop is almost completely closed in, we just hooked up a 100,000btu Heater and we're installing a very cool wood burning stove, so it should be warm no matter the temp outside.  

Our address is 304 North Cross Rd, Gray GA 31032.  It's easy to find and it is in the middle of nowhere!  There's a TON of parking room,   If anyone's been dying to learn to do something and you haven't had a chance, ask about it in this thread and lets see if we can't get anyone one here that knows how to do it to show you that day!!!  We'd love to make it a big wrench and learn day as well!

Wow. What a great idea. I tried to get a help and wrench weekend going with a Camaro club I was in but there was always a reason no one could get together. This is what they did back in the day and was the reason for clubs but I guess with today the internet is the hang out. Wish I could join everyone as I have a lot to learn once I get a motor to put in the bus.

Wish I could but I'll be in FT. Lauderdale about to get on a boat for a week. I'd like to install the motor myself to learn but it would be nice to have experienced hands on deck to at least tell me what to do.

We're getting closer, sure hope some of y'all can make it out anytime that day. We're getting the shop organized. We have the 66 Beetle in it with lots of work to be done, room to pull one or two more in if someone needs something done, etc. We'll have a good day, just need people :-)

I will be putting out a bunch of parts for sale at the Open House. I will be selling most of my 60's beetle parts. Prices will be very cheap for those in attendance! Darrell will post some pics soon.

We have a whole room of the workshop setup with Bug Parts, separated by 60's and 70's parts...lots of good stuff we've collected over the years, if you come to the open house bring some stuff to trade, or we'll sell stuff at very good prices. We will also have food and drinks throughout the day!!! Come see us!

Here's some pictures from yesterday. Didn't have a lot show up, but we got some good work done, had fun hanging out, and even got a surprise Cake and Grilled Hamburgers and maybe the best Baked Beans I've ever eaten! Thank you all who came down and took time out of your weekend to share some with us! We had a blast and hope to do it again soon!
