Cruisin' to the Oldies Car Show

Where: Downtown Senoia
Time: 11-5

As long as nothing school or work related shows up at the last second, I should be able to make it.

I probably will miss this one. The big show in downtown Senoia is that weekend, so if I do anything, I'll probably head there. But I've got a lot of VW weekends in October, so I may end up spending this weekend doing last minute wrenching.

Yep. I will for sure be at the Senoia show since Crystal is on the board of directors. Will put a post together later to day with a flyer.

If you guys want to change the meet to the Senoia Show thats cool. I had completely forgotten about it.

It's a cool show, but it's $20 to enter which kinda stinks. And if you don't enter, you'll be parking pretty far away usually. Also, if you don't get there real early, it'll be hard to get any kind of group spots, cause it gets crazy packed. Cool show, just the cost/logistics of it kinda suck for a club meet.

Hey Eric. Since my wife is one of the organizers, I might be able to get us some pull to get that spot at the bottom of the hill like we had last year. It is enough out of the way that we realistically could block a bunch of spots off and have an all VW section down there. I'll be up there real early anyway.

It's getting close! We're looking forward to it, hope the weather is nice. Hey Brian, any more word on if we may be able to secure that spot at the bottom of the hill?

I am going to have Crystal get with the organizers and see if I can get down there early, park Heidi and camp out the rest of our spots. I'll let you know today or tomorrow. Between now and then, I might need a rough estimate of how many cars might have.

Sounds good... how early you planning on getting there... this is my first time... so not sure how early we should be there... but I'm definitely bringing the Ragtop.

Yeah, count me in as well. Driving the ragtop to sieverville (circle yer wagens) the next weekend, so I'll be in the bus for senoia.

I'll have to miss out on this one as well. Between the increase in school work over the last couple of weeks and with the project deadlines at work, all my weekend time will most likely be taken up.

Have fun though. And take pictures for us who can't make it.

Well, I hope we have a good turnout. It really is a huge show if you like classic cars and would be great exposure for the VWs!

I plan on being there.

I know that registration starts at 8 am... wondering how early those that are going are planning on being there... I would like to be one of the first 100 so I can get the dash plaque... but don't know how early is too early or too late... anyone got any ideas?

I have no clue. Ive always been way to lazy to get there at a decent enough time to even get a good space, much less one of the dash plaques, lol. Hopefully somebody else can chime in. I likey won't be able to get there that early.

Well, it appears that I will be there between 7:30 and 8:00 to help with registration and everything else. I will get some spots at the bottom of the hill in front of the coffee shop and reserve enough for everyone. From the way it looks, we may have between 4-8 cars again. There should be plenty of room for everyone. Just shoot me a text the morning of 251-459-3657 to give me a heads up that you are headed that way so I can make sure I am down there to expect you.
On a side note, my sister in-law got married at the in-laws place (across the street from our house), this past weekend and we have about half of a keg of Abita Amber Ale that I need some help finishing. Just throwing that out there.... HAHA!! Look forward to seeing anyone that can come out. I talked to Rutledge on Monday and he is not going to be able to make it. The History channel is sending him to that big Chevrolet auction for the weekend. His brother in law may bring the double cab to the show for him though.
