bus trans value

Hello,

I have 091 6 rib bus trans for sale that i just pulled out of my buggy. I am doing a different engine/trans set up in the buggy, so I don't need the vw goodies. Anyway, I am posting to get feedback on the value of the trans I have. It looks like a used 091 6 rib in good running order seems to be worth around $500 or so. My particular trans has Hewland gears. I have to guess that they are stock style gears. I couldn't telling you the final drive ratio, only basic specifics - (4 spd, short gearing in my opinion). I bought the buggy from the previous owner who built it. I am definitely not a vw know it all and in fact, I know very little about these cars.

i can say that it shifted great during the time I drove it and if the carb didn't die on me, I would of had video....but there you go.

I think you should fix the carb
