baja to standard? Empty baja to standard?

Post by kokodabobo Mon Apr 15, 2013 11:13 pm

i bought a 64 baja for the engine to put into my bus. after looking at it, its not in bad shape, and i found a front clip with fenders and lights for a 64 for a decent price. its not raised or anything, so it looks like replacing the fron and rear clip, and adding the hood and deck lip along with standard wheels would put it back to a pretty stock bug i would be happier with. anyone on here ever converted an old baja back to a standard?

The pans are rusted but it came with brand new ones to weld in. Or there's a guy with a rolling 64 pan in good shape with brand new pans for 200. And no pics right now, but ill get a couple up in the next day or two

You should take my 67 and just start with a street car. I'll trade for the Baja. Mine needs pans too.

Just as rough.floor pans are rusted bad and the pass door is thin enough to see a few pin holes. Have all the fenders and have been sanding and bondo on it. The nose apron/ spair tire well is shot. Solid otherwise.
