it's a 69 and looks great. will be a big project being a vert though. I'd take it.

I'm in need of a 68, 69 or 70 vert body. I started a job on a 68 and it is too messed up to straighten out economically. If you have a lead and would share it would be greatly appreciated.

Can you do a body swap on a vert body?
Vert for nonvert are the pans diff?
If I get it we may be able to work a deal of you have a body.

Does it have the top or wood or even a top frame? If not, that can be expensive to locate and condition to make operable. A VW vert top alone is three layers and can cost a pretty penny. I also don't see any rubber window scrapers. Also a big money item. Does the engine run/turn over? I think in the current condition before the labor to reassemble/weld, $500 to $800 max, currently it is a parts car. After, w/out a paint job but fully reassembled and quality of material used $5-6k, painted and real nice, resonable offer would be $7-8K. Just my opinion, I'm not a pro, I just play one on tv. Anyone agree/disagree?

Quick is right. There is no difference in the pans. All the reinforcements were added to the body.

I think a well done late beetle vert can bring more money than 7-8k. Really depends on the quality of the restoration.

I know someone with a top frame pretty cheap, not sure if it's the right one. It spent some time at our house and is in decent condition.
Whoever gets it, if you use it as a parts car, I have a buyer for the decklid; or I might buy it. Very Happy
