74 Ghia started to shake at all speeds.

My 74 Ghia feels like the wheels are out of round. Would bad motor mounts cause the car to shake at all speeds? It feels like its in the back of car. Thanks

Loose rear drum?

Rear drum, bent wheel, bearings are going, loose lug bolt.

CV Joints?
Did you do any thing different lately, any work done?

no nothing different i mounted a go pro video camera and found the back passenger tire vibrates and the engine mount is cracked on that side. could the mount cause this?

X2, u need a new tire, ASAP. unless the inside lip of the wheel itself is bent badly (i.e. hit a curve or something), but it looks like the tire.

no it's a left drive.

i wouldn't take that on the highway if i was you.

I parked it until I get this resolved. Tried a different tire/rim and still shakes

I did stop hard about a week ago that might be the issue cv is tight and drum has no play. Hope it's the drum. Wanted to Drive it this weekend. Thanks fit all the suggestions.

definetly pull that drum off and check if the splines are F'ed up. I'd also replace the mounts, just because, it IS an issue, any could possibly be causing your issue, but i doubt it, unless the shaking seems to match engine RPM. you may want to check the trailing arms, and possibly even the rear torsion housing itself. one of them could be bent slightly throwing off your toe. if all that seems good, i would also check your spring plate bushings, if they are rubber they may have disintegrated, or if they are urethane, they may have shattered (urethane just gets harder and harder over the years).

So I finally had time to work on the Ghia it was the tires, both of the rear tires had broken down. The car had sat for a year and developed flat spots on the tires. I put the from tires on the back and the ride was smooth in the back and rough in the front. Now trying to find tires at a good price, any suggestions I looked at Croker tires
anybody have place in Atlanta metro area for tires less than 80.00 each?

Take that link for the nexen tires in the other post you have and go to walmart.com and look them up. I just got tires (nexen's - 18") for the wifeys Passat. Price was $20 a tire cheeper online ($80 cheeper for the 4). Mounting and balancing was included in the price and they shipped them to the store in 2 days... I got unlimited balance and rotation as well as road hazard as this is my wifes car, but you may not want to.
The guy at the store couldn't believe that they were that much cheeper for the exact same tire.
