I have to rebuild the cabbies shifter (old / worn) and was thinking of a short throw weighted one.
I have the bushings and the ball, where did you get the shifter rod?

Re: my new 88 jetta
I got it from a friend its an OEM one off of a mk3 so I got it for free but I've seen some for sale online for 50 bucks. Go.to a pap and Yank it off a 5 speed mk3. Next I have to buy a short throw kit and a new shift lever. The PO broke the reverse lock out
