Sweet, bought some parts from Lindy yesterday. I would have thanked him for his support had I know this then.

Hellz yeah some shade,Tara was 9mths pregnant and miserable but toughed it out this past show. Shade is a major improvement but I will continue to support the venue either way...

i am in talks with several "movers and shakers" in the watercooled scene, thanks to Kip. all have shown interest in helping out with our show and opening the door to the ENTIRE VW community/family. we WILL have a limbo contest this year, so get those dubs down!! we will also have a push race this year...start getting into shape!! we really want to improve this show and make it grow and this is impossible without all you guys supporting us. lets spread the word.....
i will also need a good DJ this year. sad to say Pherris Wheel won't be able to make it this year,family obligations . if anyone knows a DJ who is cheap/free hit me up...

just confirmed,...we will have a narrowed beam to be raffled off thanks to Tim Baker!!!

My brother in law DJ's and also has a 64 vdub (my old 64). He lives in Snellville so I'll ask him, or i'll just tell him to contact you so you guys can talk.

I have a concern and you guys may have addressed this concern. There are so many roads and cut thrus around the track we need to make sure that folks coming off the street ("Oh look a car show") can find us. And even the folks planning to attend can find the show. The nice thing about the past few shows is visibility from 19/41. I'm not sure how many patrons we had that just stopped in b/c they saw a show was in progress. One of the reasons we do these shows is to spread the aircooled fever but also to have a place where we as a community can come together and have a good time. Kind of like a family get together. Moving to the infield at a facility like AMS is a great thing but folks that just happen on us need directions to where we are. Food for thought and like I said you guys may have thought about this and there may be a more direct path to the infield that I'm not aware of. One last thing, Will anything be on the Jumbo Sign @ entrance about the show?

Yes there will be info on the large sign out front 2 weeks pryor to the show. There will also be signs that will tell you where to go at the speedway

I went to the big Dodge show on the infield a couple times and the turnout was always big and people seemed to like being "inside" the track.

Sounds like its coming together nicely! It will make it much easier for everyone to view/participate in the track cruise if the show is on the inside.

We just need a really nice flyer to get the word out.

Maybe a contest for the best created flyer wins "free registration" for the show? I know there are some very artistic people on here. Just a thought.

Pirate printing is working on a flyer, thanks to Kale for the contact! we are wanting to make this show fun and "comfortable" for all who attend, this was a major factor in moving to the infield...nice clean restrooms for everyone and somewhere to go for shade!! the most direct route will be to come in by the airport and enter through the infield tunnel, but we will have signs in all locations directing traffic. i look forward to hearing more input and feedback from all of you....after all, this is YOUR show!!

Only if its a thong style bikini....you may want to find somebody that will steer folks in,me in a pink bikini may run folks out.

The Jolly Rancher is hard to miss. Perhaps fab a large plywood sign to load on my cross bar roof rack with an arrow pointing to the show?
