Panama City 1st Annual VW Car Show

There is a VW car show going on in Panama City Beach this July on the 2nd

Might be a cool show but I'm not feeling a 6 hr drive for a 5 hr show. If it was A 2 day show that would be different..

I would love to be there, but, I just don't have the money. Or a place to stay...

Make sure you get your facts straight before you go throwing out quotes like that. There happens to have been 26 cars show up to the show! Which is pretty good considering it's the first time for having a show in Panama City Beach. Even the big established shows like BugaPlooza doesn't have all the cars show up on the first day. To those that did show up THANKS for the support and hopefully we will do it bigger and better next year!

I really wish I could have made it down there to support you guys. I think to have 26 cars for the first show with only 2 months to get it together is pretty good. YU Buggin is on it's 4th year and it only had about 85 cars. Bugapalooza just had it's 13th year and had 200+ cars there. It takes time for shows to get established. Now Panama City has something else to offer that alot of the other big shows that have been going on for years doesn't have, the beach. There is also Friday Fest that happens the first Friday of every month. That is pretty awesome in it's self. Give it a chance, and it'll grow. Like most of them do. Good luck to you guys.

Tim,you took the words right outta my mouth!Being WPBC born and raised,I'd give my right n&*#t to be @ a Fla. show this weekend.Someday,I'll get this shop runnin on all 4's,then all of us can bust 1 2 PCB and kick it @ a show that has 1 thing the rest you mentioned don't THE BEACH and Dubs

Thanks Tim!!! Wish you could have made it down also! The club will be planning a little more in advance for next years event and hopefully have it on the beach. This years event at Newby's was close but like you all mentioned it would be nice to have it ON the beach.This was really a test event to see if the response would be good. We all were excited to see the turn out. We had one guy bring his Thing in from Texas and several people from northern Alabama that made the journey. We also had several members from the Fort Walton Beach club Kusten Kreuzers make the trip over. Overall this was a good turn out and we look forward to next years event.

of course the coolest guy in the world "chad magee" would say it was a bust personally it was a good show for 2 months of planing wait till next year will be bigger aucally had about 30 cars total show up 4 more showed up after the show anyways we had a good time and thats what it is all about see you all next year with a bigger show and alot more planning got a whole year so be ready

looks like a pretty decent turn out to me i mean where else in a small town like pc beach are u gonna see a 21 window and a barndoor in the same town and there local if u wanna see more pics go on our a facebook

I heard from friends that left early because there were only 3 cars there when they left......we WOULD have made it down and supported the show but I had to work this weekend saving people's lives. We try to make all FL, GA, AL, TN, NC and SC shows. PCB is an awesome location for a show....with more advertising I'm sure it'll grow. Perhaps having a show for the first time on the biggest holiday weekend of the year might have held people back. I know several GA peeps that did not go because of the holiday crowds anticipated at PCB this weekend.

I for one have spent 4th of July, at PCB many times. I can't think of a better time for exposure of a car show.

I agree, I was just adding feedback that I heard from others prior to this weekend.....main complaint about the date was potential crowds and inflated hotel prices. That is all.

yep more than 3 cars look at the photos i have never been to a car show when everbody was there on the posted time so maybe the freinds should have stuck around a little longer this was a 1st show and hardly any planning was just seeing what would happen,,,,got to start some where and thats what we did started somewhere wait till next time already have a bigger space lined up

I will try my best to attend. Love PCB, wish I could of helped out this year!

if i wernt in the proses of moving i would have been there i love pcb hope to have my shop moved in the next month

Im the one that gave Kat that info... It was true at the time... waited around an hour !! ! It wasn't worth the time if you were driving 6 hours just for the show ! Would I make this trip for the show (and Beach) again ?? YES !

Wait around in the Hot sun or go to the beach wiff my Hottie??
