Tag Form and Inspection
Well I called the Tag office and I do need the T-22B form. If the person you are buying a car from has tagged it you are good. If they the previous owner didn't tag it you need to fill out the form and follow the instructions on it. I filled it out and called the Sheriff's Dept. An Officer came by (in about 15 min.) and checked out the VIN# and turns out he had a 67 that he sold two years ago. He knows Lindy (Herrell)and the guys that work for him. Everyone has a story about a bug. I'll get insurance and a tag before the end of the week so I can drive "Oh-Bugga" on the street!!!!
Thanks Eric for the heads up on the form.

Re: Tag Form and Inspection
Glad to hear you are about to get it registered. You dont have to have the last tagged person to write the bill of sale. That is just what they tell you.
Re: Tag Form and Inspection
You can find all the forms on ga.gov
Just go here its hard to find them:
http://motor.etax.dor.ga.gov/forms/motor.aspx
If you search some they have all the ways to obtain a title.I got a call to pick up a 2004 convertible new beetle titled. It had been left at a buddies house he wanted me to get it. So by following the GA abandonned car law(with a little help)I just got insurance a tag and title on it.
There is a lot of usfull info on there.
