Rail buggy guys, street legal question.

What exactly do you need to have in order to be street legal in a rail? I was advised by law enforcement to have the VIN fixed to the frame somewhere, but other than that......................what are the rules?

Headlights
Tail lights
Turn signals
seat belts
Windshield (I have seen with and without on the road)

I had the vin on the frame horns.
Headlights at least 100 candle watt
Had some with turn signals and some without sed hand signals
Need seat belts
If you use a windsheild you need a wiper, if you go without you need eye protection


I never had any problems. They did pull me over a few times but just to look at it.

Horn is required as well.
