VW Drive - Grand opening in Chattanooga TN - All are invited.

Hmmm...I have Fridays off...only about a 3 hour drive in the bus. I must think on this one.

We passed by this exit last weekend on our trip to Virginia. Would make a nice photo opportunity with the giant exit sign!

Too bad it's on a Friday....I would have liked to go to this.

There will be a few of us rolling to this early Fri. Morning if anybody wants to joun us. We can also meet up with some of you along the way if that works better.

Not 100% on this, but I think it's similar to the Kia exit down south on I-85, Kia Boulevard, and the exit is strictly for the Kia plant.

Volkswagen Drive is going to the be the exit for the VW plant being built.

You are correct.
There will be a special parking for the VW's and there will be both city and VW representatives to look at the cars...

Anybody got any pictures of this. I hoped they had a good turn out in spite of the rain.

I don't think that many people from Ga. went I couln't get anybody to go so I didn't go either. I heard they had about 80 VW's (air & water cooled)
The big event will be when the actually open the plant

There were 82 the last time I counted and that didn't include the 2 VIP verts.
Thanks to all who showed up, timming was rough but was set to accomodate the city and county, not the working Joe...
It was a nice break in the day and the Jap Beetle was on the news...

The plant is like 1.92 Million Sq. FT...
