Hey Don, both of those maps are pulling up the same route for me with the same directions on each of them (both using I-85)

Did you forget how long it took us when we went down 85 for Kenneths dads memorial? 61 Sth to 166 east to 27 thats the route best from here.

I remember what a long ride that was down to Kenneths (even though I was asleep for a lot of it)
I Mapquest-ed 61 to 166 and then to 27, and the time estimate is the about 1hr 45 min too.
I try to add this route to my map collection, and also get those previous ones straight too.
The east and west routes are both about 75 miles also, so I'm up for either route, whatever you all think would be best. Personnally, I enjoy the scenic back roads.
Too bad there isn't a straight shot from up here, it's around to the west, or around to the east on the maps confused

Hey- lets get some more opinions to really mess me up cheers

Is Cave going to make it? there seems to be some confusion about that too.

if you guys wanted to go 61 to carrollton to meet up with me and drew and maybe kyle then take 27 to legrange its not a bad drive at all

there is never any traffic on 27 it would be a sweet cruise lots of photo opps and stuff when theres no cars

Here's the West side suggestion-
Route #3

If Route 1 & 2 both show up as the interstate version- see if there is a link on the right side for "avoid highways". No time to correct link now- gotta go to work.

I tried that, and it's showing the route that Callahan is talking about. If you had a route coming to Newnan and NOT taking I-85, it'd probably be way out of your way and longer than Callahan's route. I'll keep an eye on this thread and if ya'll do the interstate, I'll join in. If you do the Callahan route, I may meet ya'll in Franklin (not sure). Either way, I'll still get to see your sweet mug at the show!

He is back in CCU tonight not a good day. Right now Im on but it depends on his status on Fri night early Sat. If I get to go it will be down 27 and can meet up anywhere on the way with anyone who would like to. Run about 60 ~ 65 top speed or slower if someone cant keep up. I say to put the slowest out front and roll on.

I will let you all know if I am not going to make it as soon as I know.

Oh well- My computer (and I) are just retarded....it keeps connecting to the same link, dispite my changes to the route.
As I stated previously, The rural/interstate routes are very similar, except for the stretch along on I-85, and the westside route leaves Dallas, goes down 61, runs into Carrollton and picks up on 27 to go down to Lagrange. I'm getting some more interest from other westsiders to follow this third path......

Looks like Kale will be pulling out of the Waffle House at 8 in Dallas at 278 and 61 and I will be meeting him or the group in carrollton on the south side of town for the last leg of the trip.
