9th Annual VW MELTDOWN '09 SHOW and SWAP; MONTGOMERY, Alabama

The Vintage Volkswagen Association and VintageVW.Net present the 9th Annual VW Meltdown on Sat., July 31st.

Show hours are 8 am to 4 pm. Located at 1655 Federal Dr., the Alabama State Farmer's Market is next to the Coliseum and State Fairgrounds and a Hardee's is on the corner!

There will be Vendors and Swap spaces, Games for the Kids and best of all, COVERED PARKING for show vehicles! So Rain or Shine be there!

To be sure you get a space under the roof, you need to pre-register by emailing w_dykes@att.net We take Paypal or checks. Contact Carol at the email above for more info.

Just $15 pre-regestered show cars,$25 new part vendors,$5 per 10x12 space for used parts!!

We will also have the COOLEST Event shirts!! See them at WWW.VintageVW.Net soon!!

If you are staying over, check out hotels near I-85 exit 6. Everything is close by!

After the Meltdown, we will cruise into Montgomery for a local Cruise-In Nite at Flip's Grill at the corner of Vaughn and Taylor Rds. It is open to all makes of vehicles. 20+ CLASSES!!

Wasn't able to go last year but I'm wide open for it this year. Not to far from the house either.

Well it starts at 8, but they're an hour behind us, so I was thinking about leaving Newnan around 7:00 or 7:15. I'd be going straight down I-85.

Outlaw,
when heading south, I usually jump on I-85 at exit 41 (moreland). They have a McDonalds right off the exit there that would be a good meeting spot. I'm on vacation right now though and not sure how often I'll be able to get back on the computer. Tentatively, I'll probably try and head out from that McDonalds about 7:15. I'll try and get a more concrete time as it gets closer.

Will be there and maybe we can get the G.A.S. Guys to shoot a video of us going down lol!!! They got alot of kool videos on YouTube. Check them out flux cap @ gaaircooledsociety there awesome.

On behalf of Eric this sounds like a great place for everyone going down I-85 to meet. The Moreland exit is either Hwy 27 or 29 can't remember.

I am not going to make this one....

Just so everyone is very clear, this event is held in Montgomery and NOT Birmingham!!!

May try to get over there for this one this year.....

Yeah mon, I'll be there waiting ready to head out at 7:15. Talk to Malik and his guys and see if they want to roll down with us.
