Any experiences in tuning with Dellortos?
Hello, recently I upgraded the engine in my 71 Westy from 1600cc to 2050cc. Since I opted for a bigger engine, I decided to use a set of 40mm Dual Dellortos for fuel. After installation and checking everything to make sure I didn't miss anything. I got it to crank up. However it idles really low. I know you suppose to have certain sizes for idle and etc...Since I bought these used, I don't really know what the jets that are in there now. Anyone have experiences with Dellorto can help me. I am a little verse in carbs but it has been a while since I gotten back into air cooled. My last set was dual Kadrons but they were much simpler and over 10 yrs ago.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Any experiences in tuning with Dellortos?
What are the specs of the motor? I've never heard of a 2050cc? 88X84 stroke makes a 2044cc, but thats an odd sized motor. 92X78 makes 2074. 90X82 makes 2086cc i think. 94X74 stroke gives a 2054 or 2052cc. thats the closest i can think of, off hand. my interest has been tickled, lol.

94mm slip in i havnt seen those you will have to open the case if its biger than an 88
Re: Any experiences in tuning with Dellortos?
no, they are called 94 slip ins, because they fit into the same hole as 90.5/92 cylinders.
