Any Southsiders headed up to the show in Atlanta this weekend? I plan on going, wanted to see if anyone wanted to cruise up there with me?

I might be going, might not. I have some friends who want to do something this weekend, but I'd rather go up there.

We'll likely stop by for a little while. Won't have the bug though. Plan to be dropping the motor out on Wednesday and it'll probably be out for a bit.

Nah, I ain't doing it for fun. My oil level went UP on the way home from BAP. I'm getting gas in the oil somehow. Not sure if it is the carb overflowing or if the fuel pump is bad. Also have a head stud that has oil leaking around it, so I want to check the torque on all my head nuts and want to check the compression while it's out. Don't have much time away from work this week, so I won't be able to get it back together in time, and I definitely don't want to drive it with gas in the case.

I had a friend that had a fuel pump fail, and when the diaphram went out it dumped raw fuel into the engine, and siezed the crank. He'll only use an electric fuel pump now because of that.
Hope your engine is O.K., and that you can eliminate the problem.

Yep, I have read similar stories before. The gas thins the oil out and parts don't get lubricated and things start seizing. We made it home and the engine seems good (actually ran real good on the way home). We got very lucky though cause it was a two and half hour drive. I've been a little under the weather, so I haven't looked at it. Hopefully get to examine it on Sunday.

What about just meeting at Jodeco at 75 @ the Chevron. Pull out about 9......should put us there around 10....easiest route looks to be straight up the interstate 75 to 85
Re: Peace Love and Bugs - Atlanta Show

Hey Bryce, I think I am going to let some of this rain pass thru before I head up. Looks like it may clear up later. (for a little while)

Just want to thank everyone who braved the rain and made it out!- pics to come soon.
Re: Peace Love and Bugs - Atlanta Show
I sure wanted to be there. But, with the bad bearing and no wipers, it would have been a hard trip.
