Spotted in Mexico several years ago. I was scanning through some old photos and thought this was interesting.

That actually looks to be built pretty good. Probably works great in a dry climate, as it doesn't look very waterproof around the edges.

yea forget 2 fold...even 3 fold, just do 5 lol, opens with the flick of a switch too!!!

Wasn't that from a company called Sun Pro or something like that?
I remember seeing those ads in HotVW and VWtrends way back in early 90's..... I always thought they were cool back then, but now...
maybe if your top was buckled in and the rear window busted out, why not?

It's in my driveway... leaking tranny fluid... and indeed of some gas line adjustments... I haven't driven it in over a year actually

Mine is Mexican and made in Mexico by a company called Transforma... I actually had the vinyl top replaced with canvas so it is much nicer now. There was a company in California called streetbeat customs that made them but they were not electric. They actually seemed to be identical, but when I was trying to get a replacement for mine they didn't even have the pattern anymore, but agreed that they did look identical.
