The dates have been set and the count down begins! Put this event on your calendar NOW! No excuses will be accepted. 7 months notice should be enough!
Thanks Ken and Inge to agreeing to host yet again!

If you have a project you plan to bring, please post so we can start planning now. (only 7 weeks)
Re: Volkstock XI - August 11 - 13
I have a new addition to our project list. Rick Hester's 63 Bug has fallen into a bit of disrepair. It has been stored outside and not started regularly. The interior has had too much water in it and the gas is old and dead. Rick's wife has reached out for some help getting it running again.
Jake Raby has the bug at the present time and is working on getting it running properly. He is rebuilding the carb and cleaning the fuel system. Once he has it running I told him we would go thru the brakes at Volkstock and attend to any other attention needing items.
I'm not sure how we will get it from Jake's to Ken's because it is lowered. I don't think a tow bar will work and I know my trailer is too tall to be able to load it. It could possibly be driven once Jake has it running, but the brakes are still questionable. Ideas???

If you have some long 2x8's or 2x10's, you should be able to load it onto most any trailer. Carefully brace the wood in the middle, and shim with thin pieces of plywood/ paneling. Have moved a few lowered cars this way. Best to push or winch the car onto the trailer, dont want to drive it or you may launch the wood backwards and drop the car

We may have to do something like this if we can't find a lower trailer. Thanks for your input!
