Update, "Folks & Wagens" Atlanta area starter cruise in at Corner Pub in Decatur, GA, 20 July, 6 pm.

Corner Pub <-- next to Smith Hardware.

This is a "flash mob" type meeting will be held at the Corner Pub. This is a nice location in historic and quaint Decatur. Please understand that we will hang out in the parking lot, have dinner or beer at the pub. This is not an official event so no insurance, etc. Please understand this when you come. As or when the event grows there will be appropriate adjustments in timing, location, and so on.

Any thoughts about the Corner Pub in Decatur? There's an Ace Hardware next door. If the meeting is in off-hours we'll have more parking space. https://goo.gl/maps/rlc6I

Its a good idea for sure...... just not sure how often I would make it but I would try.

I'm in. There was an attempt to get some of us together a couple of weeks ago. It was at the end of the school year and we had stuff going on so I couldn't make it.

I think the time was for a Thursday night. Long term, something like that would be great as we VW folks seem to do a lot of camping on weekends.

But I'll try to support whatever time works for the most people. Something like this for ATL area people is LONG overdue.

I think its a great idea. Like Bryce said - maybe not too often so you get better turnout?

I will stop by the Corner Pub to scope it out in person and talk to the manager. I hope we can this started, and make changes as needed for future events.

I didn't get a chance to talk to the manager, but I did stop by Saturday evening. The parking lot wraps around to the back of the building with lots of parking and access to the pub from behind. There was a green Baja Bug parked there, so maybe it's an Omen? I will try to call the pub today.

I saw someone leaving there last Sunday around lunch time in a Split. Anyway, I plan to be there, looking forward to it...
