Has anybody noticed how the water cooled folks don't have as much passion for their Volkswagens? Every time I waive to one of them they just stare and look at you like you're stupid. I know all of them aren't this way but I think the majority are!

To them it's just a car. I couldn't care less about our Honda but there's probably some vintage Honda people that hate me for it too.

You're probably mistaking tuner kids that happen to drive VWs for watercooled people. Actuall water cooled folks are just as crazy as aircooled people lol

Callahan and Taylor are right, there are the tuner guys who are just douchebags...and on the same note, there are some aircooled guys who are too busy looking down their nose and stereotyping all watercooled guys to realize they are just Dubbers!! I am a Dubber, I am passionate about any car with the VW logo!!

I agree on the air cooled guys! I've come across some pretty flaky folks. Who don't offer help or info on their cars. Also we own a water cooled vw too!

It's not the watercooled cars I don't like. It's the engines. They cost way to much, are very complicated, and don't have that nice growl to them. Some guys drive the car for the car, some drive it with a passion.Smile

I just test drove the new Diesel Touareg and the amount of torque is crazy! The VR6 is also a crazy engine!

I am a water cooled guy since 2006 when I got out of high school. I had a MK3 GTI VR6, MK4 jetta VR6 and now my newest project a new buy is a MK5 jetta 2.5L I LOVE all VWs and my car is my baby. I just lowered it since my profile pic so I am low and slow. And I know the"tunners" your talking about are douchbags when I am in 95 they like to ride my ass and try to race me. I am just lookjng to cruise and chill.
