my pan seal is leaking like crazy. should I just try to spread seam sealer on It? not sure I want to get into separating them for a new seal.

No guarantee a new seal would fix the problem either. When I put the body back on my bug, I installed a brand new seal, and quickly learned it leaked like CRAZY the first time I drove it in a bad storm (trying to get to the Showery Branch show 4 years ago). I mean, the entire floor board was covered in water. Bob was with me in his car, which also had a new seal, and he experienced the same thing.

I ended up putting down a lot of seam sealer and that has stopped 95% of the water leakage. I still have a little get through when driving in really wet conditions, but not much at all.
