"Gretchen" my 62 is lowered already but I really want it down some more. In the rear - I have a merged header with a stinger, it scrubbs just a tad everyonce in a while. What exhaust is everyone running that is lower than I? Kale? Callahan? And others? A cheap fix.

I think stock mufflers or tri-mill "exhaust system" type exit a little higher than a header.

So a used stock exhaust would probably do the trick and give me the clearance I need to go lower?

I would think so seeing how the exhaust comes pretty much straight out. I would wait for a second opinion.

i would go with a stock exhaust a million times over. i ran several different set up on jolene and the only exhaust that i didn't drag constantly was a stock muffler. id find a good original one and slap it on there. there are several aftermarket mufflers now that have as much clearance as a stock one but they fit like crap and will pop the clamps off the heater boxes the first time it scrapes.

stock muffler all the way!

I run this header/muffler. It sounds good and is a direct replacement for a stock setup. It is one piece. DO NOT buy the Empi brand, buy this one!

Mine is pretty low... I run a stock exhaust, but there isn't much available for a 61 40 horse that I've seen... I want the one like Bob shows above... but it's WAY expensive for the 61 style 40 horse... so stock works just fine.

Yeah that was my 1st option that my brother told me about but considered a good used stock one just for the price (hopefully cheaper) and the close to original look. But for $89 dollars that's what I'll go with if I can't find a stock one. Thanks again.
