Yeah man, definitely let me know if you decide to go that route and have any questions. Hopefully you'll have your bus up and going soon!

Re: 66 Camper Bus "Bocephus"
Been slowly getting a little more of the interior done. Finally got my closet covered with the birch and made a cover to hide the hinges and tension rods for the rear hatch.
Also finally got my ABS door and kickpanels installed. While I had the kickpanels off, I did a quick respray of the headlight buckets and heater tube/vents. I never liked the red showing through, so I painted them with the cream color.
Before
After (still need to paint the ashtray)

Re: 66 Camper Bus "Bocephus"
Looks good! I had to do a double take on the previous headlight buckets/heater vents pic. It looks like a faux walnut finish - which would be cool if that's what it was. Are you going to cover the ABS panels?

Thanks. No, the previous paint scheme wasn't faux walnut, it was just a really poor paint brush job with a lot of runs! I don't plan on covering the ABS panels, but one day far in the future, the but will be painted agave green, and at that point, I'll paint the ABS panels grey.

Wurth Wood Group. They have an Atlanta location but that one did not have the Baltic birch, so I had to drive to the Chattanooga location, which is actually in ringold ga.

Re: 66 Camper Bus "Bocephus"
Finally getting into some of the crusty stuff.
Need to smooth it out with a light skim coat and then try to find a store to mix up some matching paint.

Thanks! I got the repair piece directly from Gerson @ Klassicfab. He (and his U.S. distributors) were out of that piece for a while, but he got some new stock in late January.

Re: 66 Camper Bus "Bocephus"
nice job! really wish i still had a splittie. that one was a Montgomery Ward camper kit, the same that my old 67 had. the holes that were on the passenger side roof was for the funky tent mounts. i have some pics of mine somewhere. i never did trust the bed in it either.....

Wait, so is this you? I found a thread on the samba a while back from a guy named Josh and that is what lead me to the MW conclusion.

Re: 66 Camper Bus "Bocephus"
Too cool man, well hopefully you'll find another bus. I posted a while back on the samba trying to give the remnants of the old MW kit away to anyone who may have this type of kit and need some pieces, but didn't have any takers.
