OK,
I go through VW's like some people go through dental floss, so I thought I would put all my ins and outs in one place...
I just got 2 Bay window busses this week:
Both of them have good bodies and verry little real rust, good rockers, etc. Even the window areas up front are good...
This is how they showed up..

The girls and I scrubbed and gave this '74 a brillo and CLR bath...

It is comming along nicely...
Hard to see, but the paint is pretty good buffed out. this is 2 layers of turtle wax, any ideas of what to put on it to get it any better.
The tan color one is VERY complete and has all the goodies except the engine.
I have a 1641 to go in it though -
The '70 is a complete bus except for the middle seat and the floor mat in the back...
Has a singleport VW reman engine with a 3 rib.
More later.

Ditto, I like the triplecut, and if you have access to an air buffer as opposed to the electric ones that helps too most of the time.

Ok,
Another Question:
Is there a good way to remove the thick rollered on enamal paint that is on the '70?
It has patches of delam already...
The paint underneath is a nice tourquoise with patina.
I am going to try to sell it as is, but It'll look WAY better if I was to strip the paint back to that lovely patina-ed tourquoise.

I've seen other folks on the forums talking about using Easy Off oven cleaner. I've never done it myslef but maybe somebody who has can chime in with a step by step procedure.

New shot of the Jap beetle.
I like this height.
145 50's on the front and 185 65's on the back.
I drag the sway bar holders on the speed bumps and have to go over a speed bump with both tires at the same time or I'll get hung up...
