The 73 Square. Bugs4Christ is helping repaint and work on it
Here's my 73 Square. She's been my daily driver for over 2 years while I was in X-Ray Tech school. I just graduated in June and repainting her and working on some things is my graduation present to myself and also a great tool for the ministry. It's been a blast working with these guys on the car. She's really in fantastic shape to be unrestored. We found very little rust as we worked on it other than the normal spots under the Antenna and drain holes, etc. Pans and interior are really in great shape, and the seats were recovered about 5 years ago before I bought it. We're working on exterior body and paint now, and then we'll work on interior covers, new carpet, etc while I continue to drive it after paint. The interior paint is amazing and looks almost new as is. Here's a few before pics:

Here's a pic of the roof rack that'll go on it, and there was a bumper sticker on the back from the 70's, it said, "Help keep Ocean County Clean" That's in NJ where the car was originally purchased. It took sanding down all the way to get that sucker off after 36 years of baking onto the car and paint. They were melded as one:

Doing the roof Winter White and the body the original Sky Blue. Here's some of the progress so far:
Base coat clear coat looks good so far, but we still have to buff it, polish it etc. The roof was done a few days ago and the body we sprayed tonight. There's also a picture of the most expensive part...the box full of paint supplies!

Re: The 73 Square. Bugs4Christ is helping repaint and work on it
We are all finished except for the headliner then putting in the windows. Doors will be painted in the next day or so to go on and we're gonna do the headliner Wednesday night. Wednesday night is our weekly get together for Bugs4Christ at John's house in Gray, GA. If anyone wants to come out and help do a healiner we won't argue at all with help!!!! LOL We're hoping she'll be ready to drive to the fundraiser at Christ Chapel in Warner Robins Saturday October 23rd.

Well, we got all the windows in got most of the trim and molding on, and most of the interior put back in. I drove her the 30 miles home tonight so she's in my garage for the first time in 2 months. I'm pretty excited and she drove like a champ home! Here's some pics from the other day before we did the headliner, and I'll post final pictures tomorrow after we've had a chance to buff out and polish the paint.

Thanks, Me too. Waiting on the Roof Rack to get here from New Mexico, that was the whole point of the white...to make it all kind of pop. Don't see many two tone like that, but I just thought it would look great. Did the white top and white fender beading...just makes it look just a bit uniqueGrifspop wrote:Lovin' the white top on your squareback

Re: The 73 Square. Bugs4Christ is helping repaint and work on it
so I took Andrew, my 4 year old, to see El Toro Loco, the monster truck at our local Advance Auto Parts. They are in town for Monster Jam this weekend. He had a blast, and got a pic of the Square beside the truck....the tires alone are taller than the Square. Cool pics though
