Well, Mabeline isn't gonna get done quite as fast as i would like. After the BKR big day, we found the bottom of the heater channels were a lot worse than I thought. So, I got to get some bottom plates ordered, and get em welded in.

I am thinking I might sell Mabeline. If your interested, let's talk.

Well the bus didn't work out nor did this ghia I found in Birmingham, so Mabeline is about to go under the knife and get some surgery. I'm gonna go ahead as planned.

Just figured out that Mabeline is actually a 62 according to the samba.

So when you finish this one are you gonna sell it after you drive it a few weeks??? All the waiting to wait again. It makes me sad you sold the 67 after that long wait to have a VW to drive again. You gonna have that ready for the campout in Oct?

I only sell them because I think it's the build that I enjoy and that 67 wasn't what I ultimately want. This 62 is something I have wanted to build, but, I want another bus. Until I get another bus, I probably won't keep a car very long. I probably will not have this car done until next spring because it needs a lot of work.

I have found a better car for getting me on the road quicker. So, this one is up for sale. 250 as she sits or 500 with all the sheet metal I have to go with her. Let me know if you have any questions. I can also build her to a runner for you or do a full resto if you want.

hay Tim, i like the car. how much rust does it have, how did it look before the black paint. thanks

It has some odd rust in it, such as the trunk floor behind the tank and the parcel tray behind the back seat and the bottom of the heater channels. it also needs floorpans. I have everything except the parcel tray. that will go with it for the 500. If you want all of it fixed price would be 1500.
