there is a world of difference in braking power with discs. I'd recommend everyone to go with atleast front discs. you can just yank a set of torsion arms, and spindles from a ghia, or just get an aftermarket kit. the aftermarket kit took me about an hour to install, and that was taking my time, lol.

and as far as the master cylinder, spend some money and get a good german one, i went thru 4 FLAPS mastercylinders, before i said screw it, and shelled out $90 for a german one, and no issues in 3 years.

go with discs. SOOO much better. No adjusting, and stops easier. they even bleed easier, just crack open the bleeders, and let them drip, lol. just find a ghia at your local junkyard, and yank the brake stuff off. when i got discs for my kit car, i just swapped the whole spindle, and trailing arms. which worked out good, because my ball joints were shot, and the ghia ones were new, lol.

About how much $$ is that? Cause right now I'm just trying to get it drivable and to pass inspection. It needs remove from it's spot at the shop, times up.

I definately want disc though. I just gotta get it moving Smile

well i lucked out and got everything for $40 from a buddy. shouldn't be too much at your pull a part equivalent (pick and pull i believe). if you need to replace all or most of your drums stuff, it will prolly cost about the same for a good disc set-up from a ghia.
