Y U BUGG'N 2011 june 3rd and 4th

This year was good, especially for a first time event for Mike and David. Food sales is the #1 easiest money maker at events, and most of us probably came planning to spend about $5-$8 per person on lunch. BAP has girls deliver food to vendors (the most thoughtful thing I've seen at a show).

I heard the ice cream guys couldn't sell at the event. Major bummer for them. I hope it was a simple miscommunication.

Camping will draw out of towners. Most won't drive 4-6 hours for an event, then fork over $75 for a hotel. If the camping is not a possibility, a designated hotel or two would be good, for the pre-show parking lot party.

This was a great show, and will only get better! Thanks for your openness to suggestions!

Food vending was an issue as AMS already has contracts for vendors and you must pay to use them and them only.......at least that is what I have been told

Bryce is correct about food, they have there own company that has a contract to do all food,,we are working on the food situation and are also working on the camping problem.I can not guarantee this but would $10.00 for dry camping and $ 20.00 for power help every one,if this will work please let me no so we can talk to ams about this..clyde as far as the ice cream they were informed about 1 month before they could not sell and they were ok with the situation,we hope to have you back next year.Any other problems we can address please let david or myself know.

So long as the show is during a month where the nighttime temperatures are bearable (not late July or August ), I'd be all about $10 camping!

Even at $20 that will work. Will the club get some of that?

Camping would be great at AMS, because I could quickly go home in the morning to shower and then come back!

$10 camping would be awesome. Make sure they're cool with people using portable grills/fire pits. I'll be back, definately.

David and myself have sat down today with AMS and have the dates of june 3rd and 4th,we will have more info coming soon, we have made some headway about the food issue and camping issue, thanks for all suggestions

we are planning on attending again this year. i had a nice time and this was my first show of the summer (knee surgery in June). my only complaints are the food issue and a host hotel. I dont camp. the hotel we stayed at was having a family reunion. so at around 2 am the reunion moved to the fourth floor where we were trying to sleep. a hotel with the VW crowd would be alot better.

food issue is solved and i am workin on a host hotel...

What about Camping David?

With Camping do we have to use the designated sites? Fires?

should know more about camping next week, they are working on the best way to give everyone a deal. fires are welcome BUT they must be in a can.
