Yeah, I thought the same thing when I saw that ad, but he might get lucky. I got my 71 for 150.00, it was pretty much complete except for an engine.

Sorry, Digger, but the Supers don 't command the prices of the early Bugs. I'm not hatin', but if you you want to drop some money on a Bug and get some of it back, it should have the early headlights.

i got my 61 baja for $125 at a yard sale, and it was complete. good 36hp motor and everything.

got my 21 benz kit car, on 71 bug chassis for free, and it was also complete. i even got it running, and drove it around the yard for a while.

i was offered two complete non running bugs for $200 for both a year ago both 70's model non supers.

so its doable. even for $401,
