lol, true. When i saw that my 72 was pretty much rust free (just some surface rust here and there. I was shocked. even the origonal floor pans have zero rust. i thought i struck gold when i saw that, lol.

Maybe he saw that post on thesamba, about that guy with the rust free all origional barnfind 57 oval, that came with boxes of NOS parts. so he figured a 64 should be no biggy, lol.

He probably was at a criuse in and saw the really cool people at the VW's that were parked there. Decided his carbonfibered, flat black and yellow painted dash trimmed rice racer was not the "cool" car any more... "Darn and I just got that Vtech B-16A in it...." No concept of what an old VW is worth and thought they were cheep.

I can't tell you how many times I've told clients my advice on art and graphics on a vehicle - If your gonna sell it down the road- DON'T paint something like "Betty" (I swear, I use her for an example!) on it!!!! Rolling Eyes
