transaxles are driving me insane

Had my splitcase rebuilt about a year ago by steve sands- reverse went out in it a few weeks ago. Pulled it and Picked up a swingaxle from a 64 (thanks to fearthefat for picking tht up for me) and was trying to remove the wheelbearings and the axle pulled out a little to far - now im looking for my circlips and still trying to get this bearing off.

Im hoping after I get all this done that this trans actually is good .
