New VW Owner in McDonough

Just looking at the site and thought I would join in on the fun. Just bought a 66 w/sunroof and getting it buttoned up for maiden voyage. Use to own several baja bugs 30 years ago, and found this one for a good deal. Hopefully will get carbs on tomorrow and get cranked up. Glad to see there's resources available close by to ask questions and get advice. Hopefully I can hook up with you guys in McDonough soon. Also, I'm looking for a rear seat for the bug. Where's a good place to look?

Welcome to the site! Hopefully you'll have the car up and running soon. Put a wanted to buy ad in the classifieds section of the site, or there are a few shops listed on the vendors section on the site that sell used parts and may have the rear seat you need. You can also check Pull-A-Parts vehicle inventory online. They actually get quite a few beetles on their lot. Just need to know what year backseats will fit into your 66. I know there were a few different changes in the backseats throughout the years, but I don't know the exact breakdown.
