1970 Ghia, aka Black Dahlia, or the Batmobile
Sold the Squareback, finished up the 70 Ghia. Been driving her for about 2 weeks now and going good. Still some things to finish up, but she's running really good right now. We did it with a single stage urethane Hot Rod Black, Minimal Chrome Trim with a red rally stripe between the trim, also black fiberglass bumpers. I'm ecstatic with how the satin black/flat black turned out, laid down nicely. Kept the original wood plastic dash, it has a few cracks, but not bad, put on a new dash pad, and kept the old Blaupunkt Stereo in it for now, will change that out though sometime. I call her Dahlia.
The reason I also say "the batmobile" is because she's red and black, but also has her own "Bat Signal" so to speak, on both doors:

Looks really nice and clean. I really liked the courtesy lights. I have never seen those before on a VW.

They really look good at night. Found them on an eBay store for $22. Couldn't resist. They turned out to be worth it. Just wired it in to the door jam switch

So We put her back in the shop and redid a few things. Took off the wing, got rims to put on an changed the rally stripe from red to Blue to match the rims and License Plate.

Nice! I like the pinstriping. Really adds some nice details to it.
