73 Super AKA Bondo

What kinda wheels?

I know its a Super but I could not say no it was a GREAT deal.
Things I needs
Lower the front ( How to HELP!)
Tires.
Vents on the windows
POP outs.
Any Super parts let me know what you have.
Re: 73 Super AKA Bondo
I think you lower the front with lowering struts or something of that nature. Also who cares if it is a super fat chick. They need love too. What kind of vents you looking for?

Re: 73 Super AKA Bondo
Yea they all do.....! The black plastic ones with the louvers in them. Also want pop outs for the back windows.
Re: 73 Super AKA Bondo
Those wheels look like some of those BBS knockoffs that Western was making a while back. As for lowering, check out Topline's web site, I have lowered several supers, both late models and some of the flat windshield supers (71-72) with Topline's components. My 71 has a full Front suspension from them. I am pretty sure I have some of those vents around here somewhere too.

This week I hope to grind and sand on the car. Tires, cut the front coils
and ride the FATTY.

Are the wheels 14" or 15"?

The pop outs should pretty easy to find. Just get to bugga earily and get a good price and pick of the litter. If you can wait that long.

Good site. TOPLINE is all on back order I called today. It will be a month before back in stock not only shipping to me is 80 bucks. What to do.
Re: 73 Super AKA Bondo
Getting all stoked for my struts and parts........I plan to work on it all day monday in the cold.

Re: 73 Super AKA Bondo
I bought a whole top line kit for my 74. I actually switched to the earlier 71-72 suspension. I prefer the thick cast iron control arms to the thin stamped steel arms. Topline stuff is very good quality. On my 72 the PO just put lowering springs. All it did was cause the suspension to bottom out on every bump since now it only has like 2 inches of suspension travel :/

Also, you can lower the earlier three bolt stuts more than the later two bolt style....

Re: 73 Super AKA Bondo
sometime this week end ill be lowering the front of my super. ill be posting pics of the how to in my build thread here http://forum.georgiadubs.com/t9371-andrea-my-bagged-and-body-dropped-71-super-beetle even tho i wont be using coil springs itll be the same process. you just reuse the stock springs. and you may need smaller then stock tires. youll need to upgrade the sway bar to keep the caster and everything correct. but youd be looking at 3 inches or so of drop.
