Yeah I was joking with some friends that I hate to cover the chassis up with the body that maybe I need to hinge it like a funny car or maybe a clear body.Grifspop wrote:It's so nice, it's going to be hard to call it a Mutt!

Still pecking away slowly. Made a piece to cover the wiper cowl, rebuilt the crossbrace on the nose support, and made a cover for the access hole. The cover will double as the tank mount.

Re: The Mutt Bug
Well after some disagreements with the person that was helping me with the Mutt and not touching it for a long time I decided to sell the project. After just two days I had a buyer. I told him to give me a day and I'd join the body, which was at other persons house, and chassis, which was at my house, so he could get everything home easier. I go pick up the body and take it to my house and sit it on the chassis which hasn't been together in about 2 years and since this far along. After seeing the car back together it pained me to not see my vision of what I wanted the car to look like finished. So I bought the car back and now that everything is back at my shop I plan to get the car on the road for this season. It want be finished but I plan to make it a driving project from now on instead of a sit till complete project. I'm looking forward to getting back on the Mutt and back active on the forum. Sorry for the long post just wanted to catch up to were I'm at today.

Re: The Mutt Bug
Yesterday I pulled the body again and set it up in my shop. Did some welding on the top and straightened passenger drip rail.

Re: The Mutt Bug
Been working on the Mutt pretty steady trying to get the metal work finished. Got the outer side of the roof finished, the shaved wiper cowl finished, and started the metal work on the passenger side opening.

Re: The Mutt Bug
Still getting at it. Got the driver side opening done and laid a little mud to take a break from metal work.
After that I moved to the dash. I've been trying to decide if I wanted to move the speedometer. Decided why not at this point.
After looking back at the work and time I put into this dash I should've just cut the whole thing out and built a new one.
