yall hillbillys out there!

got an abandoned baby squirrel outta the gutter today. its got a busted face. my first thought was to leave it alone but my ellie mae girlfriend seen it and now its in a cage in the basement .what do yall thing i should do?

Prepare yourself for a tearfull Elliemae- Tried to rescue a baby squirrel once- uninjured even- talked to some animal rescue people and learned it is VERY difficult to do. Tried anyway, but in a few short weeks- "lil' Ricky" passed on. Good Luck! If you need, I could pass on nursing/feeding tips I was given.

My mom has raised several......and some opossums but she lives in Alabama.

we had a flying one we gave goat milk to he lasted about 2 months an died

If we can figure out a way to get it here will try and help it out. We have a rescue squirrel and he is doing great after 3 years. Still have some of the stuff from when he was little.
