VW hack in Roswell
Hi all, I'm Andrew. I'm starting to get back into my VW after a pretty lengthy hiatus. I have a '67 Westy that *would* run except that it has a gas tank full of varnish at the moment. And it needs RGB/transmission work. And brakes. And metal. Oh, lots of metal. And...and...and...
...that's pretty much why I stopped to be honest :-D But I'm patient, and I'm ready to start chipping away at it again. I dropped out around '06 but used to spend a lot of time with the Peach State Transporters. During this time I was generally "that guy who breaks down whenever we go anywhere." It was good fun but I was always pushing finances to keep things running and stuff. My proudest moment, I won 'Ugliest Bus' at the bus show in Jax Beach...I guess it was '01? Mildly offended the guy I bought the bus from, heh (not the Westy).
The Westy is in way better shape now, but the only pics I have handy at the moment are as I found it. Guess what, I have rusty floors!
I hope to get around to draining the tank and getting the bus running this weekend, and to refresh my memory on what I need to fix. Lots of VWs over the years, just sold my '70 bug yesterday so I'm down to one again. Nice to meet you!

Re: VW hack in Roswell
Cool, I've been living down here for three years and the only VW I recall seeing was an orange bay window Westy once on Holcomb Bridge :-/ It's a high-traffic busy busy busy area, I hated driving my bug around here...maybe that's part of it.
