Red Rocket
1962 That had been sitting for aprox 10 years under a shed. This is how it came home.
Soon after my nephew Andrew AKA 'Lil Cuz' Lowered the front and put on a set of old school "Rocket" 5 spoke wheels. And with those wheels and the 40hp engine it came to de known as the RED ROCKET because of all that power.
The Rocket then got a True Empi GT Steering wheel, a cruizer pedal, Shifter, Tach and a Kevin Alexander built 1776 that made 100 hp tuned and tested at Jake Rabys.

Re: Red Rocket
So after the 1776 I got a Kevin Alexander 2110 in a traid from Lil Cuz. It made 122 at the wheels at Jakes. I have been working on getting it tuned the way I would like to have it and it is allmost ready to roll.
I got the metal fuel lines mounted to the fire wall, new clutch release arm installed and Kevin set the float levels on my 44 IDFs.
I still need to pull the rear of the car out due to some body damage from before I get the car. The 40 hp fit fine but the stroker is another story all together with the engine compartment about 1.5 inches shorter.
So it is almost ready to go back in.

Re: Red Rocket
Trans is in and works properly but has a bearing going bad. It sounds like the bottom of the car is dragging the ground and is the worst in reverse and first!
So itstime to have my built unit fixxed.

Re: Red Rocket
Well the trans didn't work out. So I put a 40 horse and stock trans back in it. Now the car belongs to my dad. The Empi GT wheel is now in my 70. As for the 2110 it's on my carport . Maby a good power plant for my snapper?
