ugh electrical problems!

so driving home from work today and lost all power to most everything
starter still turns over but no juice to coil or anything else
lights and starter are only things working
ignition switch maybe? idk i need some help here

First make sure all wires to the coil are connected up. I had a similar experience, and the hot wire (+) slipped off the coil while driving to work. If all that looks ok, disconnect the batt., and start testing the ignition circuts. Find the hot wire to and from the ignition switch-and check for continuity. If you dont have a wiring diagram for your year, or at least a close year (same style ignition switch) get one from a manual, or on-line (theSamba?) Do you have a circut/continuity tester?

yeah i've checked wires and connections everywhere. everything is where it should be
i'm gonna try to grab an ignition switch from some local guys if i can and hope its an easy fix, if not i guess i'll start testing wires
