My Latest project...
the last week or so ive been working on a 1960's sears spaceliner bicycle, thought ya'll might like to have a peek at it!
the way I got it
then i tore it down
Cleaned up the fenders
applied a little satin black
cleaned up some wheels and picked up some new whitewalls
found new handlebars (off an old mountain bike ) which i flipped upsidedown for a cool look and started assembling it, with new chain and bearings
and this is how it sits as of now, im waiting on a new rear wheel from outspokin' bikes in woodstock (should be in tomorrow) and im still waiting on my new big half moon handlebars, although im not sure if i'll keep the ones on it or swap to the flipped half moons, guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Re: My Latest project...
I would like to get a decklid rack and figure out a cool way to put it on the oval, we'll just have to wait and see...
i'd love to have one of these but ive only seen one, and only heard of a few
its finished as far as im concerned, with the exception of new handlebars coming in soon (which im not sure i'll use as i mentioned before)

Re: My Latest project...
very nice. I've had an old peguoet (can't spell, lol) bike i've had lying in the old shed for over 10 years. makes me want to get that bad boy back on the road (or sidewalk ). and there is hardly (if any) any rust on it.

Re: My Latest project...
well with the handle bars, the mountain bike ones, make it look almost like a vintage racey, or old skool high speed kind of deal (kinda like seeing a 36 horse motor with a judson ) , and with the old ones, it gives it a really old style to it . just my $.02

Thanks guys,
this was more the look i was going for the vintage racey type theme. like i said the handle bars are not definite i have ordered some more half moon bars that should be here soon and i'll try them on as soon as they get here. and i have already donated the handlebars to Brian for his bike we picked up today, so they are out of the question i guess...lol
these are the kind of bars i ordered so we'll see how they look when they get here.

or just roll it as is. i mean the only difference, is the bar is lower. is it really that big of a deal? i'd roll it as is.

Yeah you are right about the bar. Speaking of that, why is it the Men's bikes have the bar and the Women's doesn't? Seems like it should be the other way around..........

Nice. I made this about 10-11 years ago just for kicks when I was teaching myself how to weld. Weighed a ton!
